Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows - J.K. Rowling

Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows is the last Harry Potter book by J.K. Rowling. Harry has been left with the task of destroying the rest of Voldemort's Horcruxes (an object in which part of Voldemort's soul is concealed). Voldemort cannot die while his Horcruxes live. Voldemort is rapidly taking over the world and is becoming more powerful as time goes on. Harry must stop him in his tracks before it is too late but it means he will have to risk his life, and the lives of those around him and he ends up staring death in the face more than once. The book climaxes in a way that probably isn't expected at all.
