Overcoming disability

Today we were looking at the amazing story of a teenage boy who learned how to use echolocation in place of his sight. Ben Underwood had his eyes removed as a young child and has taught himself how to interpret the echoes reflected from small clicking noises he makes in order to find his way about. He is so skilled at this that he has no difficulty getting around without stick or guide and can, amongst other things, play basketball, computer games and roller blade safely.

You can see his story on YouTube if you search for "Extraordinary People - The boy who sees without eyes"
