Power...

S4/5 dramatists have been continuing to explore the theme of power. Over the last few days we have been looking at the 'Milgram Experiment'. This was a series of social psychology experiments conducted by Yale University psychologist Stanley Milgram in the 1960s.  The experiments investigated the willingness of participants to obey an authority figure who instructed them to do things to other people which were against their own moral code.

Below you can see a humourous mock up of the experiment... Megan is the participant with the electro-shock machine, Deborah is the authority figure who is instructing Megan and Daniel is in the back room pretending to be electrocuted! 

We have also been looking at what real power actually is and who really is in power in our country. Below you can see an interesting idea they have created which explores this theme.
